Equivalencies

The Ontario Fire College and Emergency Management Ontario have identified equivalencies in Incident Management Courses from both organisations. Identified in Communiqué 2011-07, students who complete the Company Officer CO 506 will automatically receive the EMO IMS 100 and IMS 200 certificates. Students who complete the EMO IMS 200 course will receive credit for the Company Officer CO 503 and CO 504 portion of the CO 50345 course.

In order to receive the course credits for the CO 503 and CO 504 portion, students must attach a copy of the Ontario IMS-200 certificate to a completed “OFC Request for Advanced Standing” form and submit both to the OFC. Once confirmation is received students can apply for the CO 50345 noting with the application that they only require the CO 505 portion of the course. Applicants to the ESTC CO50345 course in this manner will be invoiced only for the CO 505 portion of the course prorated for the days involved.
