In this course you will learn skills to deal with typical equipment emergencies, future equipment designs, tractor rescue, large bale rescue and other farm emergencies. Students will also review engulfment and suffocation hazards associated with flowing grain and toxic atmospheres associated with stored grain. It identifies the different ways individuals have become entrapped in grain. The course also provides recommendations to reduce the likelihood of grain entrapment and/or suffocation

This awareness-level class incorporates hands on training and skills’ training provides the student with an understanding of atmospheric and physical hazardous associated with bin hazards with bin entry. The class will also address proper operational procedures and place significant emphasis on the safety of both the rescuer and the victim(s).
