This year the Grain Elevators And Processors Society (GEAPS) and the Safety And Technical Rescue Association will once again be bringing their day-long Farm and Agricultural Emergencies Course to the ESTC. This year the course will take place on Thursday, August 23rd from 08:00 to 17:00. This course is subsidised by a generous grant from GEAPS that allows us to bring this course to Ontario for a fraction of its true value.
To round out the agricultural training opportunity, the Public Safety Health and Safety Association (PSHSA) will be presenting their Silo Fire Awareness Course that same evening from 18:30 to 22:00.
Here's a great chance to get your firefighters up to speed on the hazards, precautions and techniques to safely deal with the many types of emergencies that can take place on a farm.
